Property Tax/Rent Rebate Assistance Days

To qualify for a Property Tax/Rent Rebate, you must be:
  •   A Pennsylvania resident.
  •   Age 65 or older, a widow or widower age 50 or older, or a person with permanent disabilities age 18 or older.
  •   A homeowner earning up to $35,000 annually a renter earning up to $15,000 annually.

Required Proof:
  •   Age. Accepted proof of age includes birth certificate, driver’s license or PennDOT identification card, PACE or PACENET card, or Medicare Card.
  •   Rent or property taxes paid. For proof of taxes paid, receipted tax bills are required (no canceled checks) or a tax bill with a copy of the canceled check. For proof of rent, a rent certificate from the landlord or rent receipts signed by the landlord are required.
  •   Proof of income for 2019.

It is not necessary to RSVP to attend this event, but residents are encouraged to call the office at 814-677-6413 with any questions.

Veterans Outreach Hours

In a partnership with the Pennsylvania American Legion, I will be offering veterans affairs outreach hours in the district office at 3220 State Route 257, Suite 8, Seneca, on the third Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A service officer from the American Legion will be available to assist veterans with a variety of issues, including:

  • VA claims for disability compensation.
  • Disability increase and rating decision appeals.
  • Veteran or surviving spouse pension.
  • Burial and death benefits.
  • Addition of dependents.
  • Dependency and indemnity compensation.
  • Other veterans' benefits.
Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services. While the service is free, appointments are required. Interested participants are asked to call the district office at 814-677-6413 so their names and phone numbers can be shared with the field service officer, who will contact them to make an appointment.
