James Grateful for Funding for Cranberry Area School District
11/19/2021
HARRISBURG – As parents and bus drivers take their students to school, it is imperative that everyone can get to where they need to be safely. Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler) announced today the Cranberry Area School District in Seneca will receive $500,000 in funding from the Multimodal Transportation Fund Program after the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved the financial request.

The project includes realigning how to get to campus from PA State Route 257, reconstruct Education Drive to Big Egypt Road, and build a pedestrian walkway to use to get to facilities on campus.

“When students are coming to school, it can become a hassle just to get to class on time,” James said. “This critical project will alleviate these issues and improve everyone’s lives. I would like to thank the CFA for understanding the value of this project to our community.”

The total project cost is $2.165 million.

The CFA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth and holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
