HARRISBURG – State Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Buter) is inviting local anglers, boaters and others interested in Pennsylvania waterways to join him Saturday, May 13, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Nature Lodge at Two Mile Run County Park for an informational event featuring the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
“Pennsylvania is blessed with beautiful waterways that provide wonderful opportunities for boaters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts,” James said. “This meeting will provide information about laws, rules and regulations that governor the use and enjoyment of Pennsylvania waterways.”
The informational seminar will focus on current issues and opportunities facing local anglers and boaters, as well as efforts to preserve aquatic resources in Pennsylvania.
John Arway, executive director of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, will be there to discuss state laws and regulations affecting anglers and boaters. Arway also will provide a demonstration about boating safety.
“We want people to safely and responsibly enjoy Pennsylvania’s natural aquatic resources,” James said.
The Natura Lodge at Two Mile Run County Park is located at 471 Beach Road in Franklin.
