James Invites Seniors to Curbside Expo on Aug. 15 in Seneca

July 31, 2020

SENECA – Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler) will be hosting a Curbside Senior Expo on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, 3494 State Route 257, Seneca.

Because of COVID-19 and the need to socially distance, vendors will not be present at the event. Instead, seniors will pull into the parking lot and drive up to a table manned by James and his staff. They will be handed a bag of information from James’s office in addition to all of the information provided by vendors.

Information will be shared about assisted living facilities, utility options, older adult services available in the county and Medicare plans available for seniors, as well as general health and wellness information.

“Since our top goal is to provide helpful information in a way that allows everyone to remain healthy, the senior expo will be a unique concept this year. I appreciate everyone’s flexibility as my staff and I work to provide useful resources in a new way,” James said.

There is no need to RSVP to the event. However, seniors who have questions about the expo are encouraged to call James’s district office at 814-677-6413.
