James to Host Household Paper Shredding Event on Oct. 19
October 10, 2019
SENECA – Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler) is hosting a free paper shredding event for households of the 64th District on Saturday, Oct. 19, from noon to 2 p.m. at his district office, 3220 State Route 257, Seneca.
The event, which will feature an on-site industrial paper shredder, will provide the opportunity to shred up to four packing boxes of materials. Newspapers, cardboard, x-rays, hard drives, magnetic media, storage devices, cell phones and other computer equipment cannot be shredded.
“The industrial shredder can destroy documents with personal information much more quickly than a home shredder. It also better protects confidential information than some home models – don’t give anyone the chance to steal your identity,” James said.
Paper will not be accepted from businesses or organizations. All shredding takes place on-site, and residents are welcome to watch their documents be shredded. The event will be held rain or shine.
It is not necessary to RSVP for the event, but residents with questions are asked to call the office at 814-677-6413.
