SENECA – To provide gun owners with the information they need to be responsible with their Second Amendment rights, Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler) will host a concealed carry seminar on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6-8 p.m. at the Oil City VFW, 2 Relief St., Oil City.

“While we all hope that we’re never in a situation where we need to protect our families from an intruder, we need to know how to act – in accordance with our rights as gun owners – during a home invasion,” James said. “During the seminar, the speakers will share valuable information to help attendees act in an informed manner in those critical moments.”

Speakers include Sheriff Eric Foy and District Attorney Shawn White, who will present on several topics such as what to do when you have a concealed weapon and are stopped by the police and what the Castle Doctrine means for you when protecting your property. They will also explain how to apply for a concealed carry permit.

There is no charge for this seminar, and space is limited. Please RSVP to James’ district office at 814-677-6413 or online at RepJames.com to reserve a spot.
